A Working Family - Carley Got A Job!

Okay, so if you've somehow been living under a rock and are not aware of such recent events, then now is your time to find out that Carley... Got a job! Finally we are a fully working family.

I'll be honest, I was starting to think that maybe Carley wouldn't get a job, or would at least have to settle for crummy part-time minimum-wage job. I'm not really sure what it is... for some people it's really easy to get a job and for other people (myself included), getting a new job is a process that takes months upon months of constant applying to everything that a person may or may not have qualifications for. It's insane to me how hard it can be even to get a minimum-wage job while being totally qualified for everything being applied for.

So with a large amount of perseverance, my wife, the house cleaner and child a reader of the century, gotten herself a job in a retirement home as a care aide. This makes complete sense to me; she has always had a soft spot in her heart for the elderly, even more of a soft spot then she has for children. Now she gets to help care for the elderly and tells me nearly every night about how much she loves what she does and how good she is at it... I mean seriously, she's already training new people to do the things she just learned to do and getting things done that nobody else has been able to get done in a looong time.

I have to say, I couldn't be more proud of Carley for not only finding herself a job, but for finding one that she's great at and really enjoys being there for. I could see her making a career out of what she's doing now even more than I could with childcare. I really think this is something amazing for our family and a great start to something new that will open up many opportunities as we more forward and grow our family.

Everybody, please join me in congratulating Carley Welykholowa on her new job, and wishing her tons of good luck and good fortune as we work towards our next goal.

Let's Make It Official

Honestly, I find it kind of hard to believe that the day for us to make everything official and finally get married to my love is coming up so quickly.official I'm getting married to my love. I'm sure it was just yesterday that we still had a month to go before this big day. Now I find the big day is tomorrow!

Will this change anything? Of course it shows that we're committed, but I don't think it will change too much. I could be wrong, but other than a change of name and signed paperwork... I think we're pretty much already a married couple. Does that make it any easier and less nerve-wracking to go through with such a big event? Not really. This will be on display in front of our closest friends and family of our commitment to our relationship. We can't just go through with something like this then give up on it at the first sign of trouble. This is the real deal.

This is is no longer a recording with all the mistakes edited out of it. This is a livestream with all the technical difficulties you didn't expect. I have great confidence that together we won't be just another show cancelled after the first season. We will be an ongoing series right up until the end when there's nothing left for us to do... At which point they'll make spin offs of the other characters in our show going on to do their own things as they get older. Now, if all goes as planned... Or unplanned... we will have a long time with many adventures to go on about for quite some time.

Seriously though, I think we compliment each other so well it's almost scary. She's excited, I'm content. She's loud, I'm quiet (usually). She's clean, I'm dirty. She's wants things done right away no matter what, I want to take a little bit more time to think about it first. The real tough part seems to be learning to communicate together. We're absolutely getting better at it each and every day, but it's certainly an ongoing process to learn about one another and how to coexist together under the same roof while raising children.

Let me just take a moment to thank family for being so helpful and supportive even at the worst of times, and friends for giving us people to socialize with and talk to besides each other. Most of all, I should thank Carley for continuing to put up with me no matter how silly or stupid I may be on any given day. I mean heck, even though we have a child doesn't mean we have to make things work; though I am glad that thing's do in fact work between us.

Here's to a wonderful future with many years to come. I love you Carley. <3

=== When Dogs Go Wild ===

So recently I find myself torn between my love for our dog, and my dislike for him getting into things; it makes me furious when dogs go wild. Our dog is a black shih tzu / cocker spaniel named Furgle; he's super cute and does the most adorable things when he's trying to get your attention, or when he's just TRYING to be cute. I absolutely LOVE him and he makes it so difficult to stay mad at him when he does something wrong.

Just yesterday we came home after a day in Regina to a torn up pile of swim diapers and a couple other objects from around the house spread around the floor of the living room. That right there is a lot of valuable money that we don't want to have to spend again... but I also understand where he's coming from. Most other dogs don't have a problem with separation anxiety like he does though.

When I say separation anxiety, I don't mean your average run-of-the-mill "Oh no, my family is gone so I'm going to be sad" sort of stuff... I mean "WHERE ARE YOU? WHERE HAVE YOU GONE? HOOOWWWWWLLLLL!!!!!" Mix that with a little bit of puppy / cocker spaniel chewing on everything destruction and you've got our dear Furgle. I know I make it sound bad, but he's really not THAT bad. He's pretty calm when we're home most of the time and even when company comes over, he calms down pretty quickly as long as they actually let him sniff them... or jump all over them.

Jumping isn't the only bad habit he has which we'd like to get him out of. I'm sure some of this he'll grow out of as he gets older and after he gets fixed, but he likes to bite SOOOO MUCH. Don't get me wrong, I love to do a little bit of rough-housing, but I HATE being bitten. So currently that's a never ending fight to get him to stop with that along with jumping (which is also pretty cute) and getting so frantic whenever there's a door between us and him. Currently I absolutely no idea if we'll ever get him out of that last habit... we might be stuck with a dog who doesn't want to be separated for the rest of his life. I think I would be alright with that; It's really not so bad having him always want to be around us.

He's absolutely a sweetheart and the cutest dog in the world when he's not so busy biting us all the time. He's super athletic so we're thinking of getting him into some agility training at some point. There's actually a dog agility club here in Moose Jaw believe it or not. I think that would be good for both him and us. And of course, we'll get our dog to stop going wild with a little bit of help from a puppy-training class after we get him fixed.

Sometimes I'm a little tired, but I still make great food.

I don't know why, or what causes it. Some days I'm just so exhausted and I have no idea why. Yesterday for instance, I didn't do all that much. It was a pretty lazy day compared to others... but by 11:30, I was so incredibly tired. Maybe I'm not eating enough meat and vegetables...

Speaking of vegetables, I actually decided to cook for myself last night. Usually when making food for just myself, I tend to only make simple foods for myself like spaghetti and hot dogs. Sometimes I make sidekicks as well. But last night I made steak, asparagus, and noodles; It was wonderful. I hardly ever make actual meals like that for myself, so I have to admit, I'm quite proud of myself for putting in the effort to do so. I didn't do anything special with any of the food other than the asparagus which I put in the oven and melted some grated cheese over.

Other than that, I don't have much else to update about my goings on recently. I'm still looking for either another job or a replacement job depending on the hours and pay. Clearly I haven't been posting too much recently, so I'll have to get on top of that again. To date I have successfully completed one gig on Fiverr which has made me $5 or so. And finally I am only one follower away from having 50 followers on Twitch! Yay me! :D

So until next time, have a wonderful day all you people out there! You're all wonderful and I love each and every one of you who takes the time to keep up with my blog and other things. ^_^

I'm mostly living a comfortable life.

I have to say, I'm feeling awesome. I still need another job to make me feel more secure on the money front, but besides that, I'm doing quite well. I have a comfortable home and people who love and care about me, and I have time to do hobbies and things I want to do rather than only work at all points in time.

I'm thinking that once I get another job I might start baking in my spare time for funzies. I do like baking believe it or not. More so when it's for other people as well. Besides that, I'm hoping to be able to find more time to sing a couple songs to post on YouTube, and I'm wanting to take more time to stream because I'm really enjoying meeting new people to talk to and entertaining them.

More good days ahead! Keep being awesome everybody! ^_^

A Beautiful Thing

I've waited so long for this to happen and now I am the happiest person in the world. I hardly know what to do with myself. It has been an adventure thus far and now I look forward to more adventures coming up in the future with a beautiful and amazing girl in my life. I'm pretty much so excited that I just want to aea;jg;LSAJDFASHGOWAHETGLJAGHAAJSFGJ!~!!! and I don't really know how else to describe it.

Obviously there will be some work to it for things to progress properly and much better than last time, but I'm certainly looking forward to the bright future ahead of me. I'm finding more hours of work and I'll soon be signing up for the right course for me.

In the meantime, I'll be trying to find more time to stream, make YouTube videos, and be the best boyfriend in the world. I hope you all have a beautiful day and I hope you're all happy people. Don't ruin someone else's day, make it better.

I love you Carley Dawn Larocque.

The Anticipation Is Killing Me

I've had people complain about me being too slow, or taking too much time to do things or say something. I think it's one of my strongest qualities to be so patient. One of the hardest things to do is to wait for something. I've definitely been in some situations in my life that have required me to wait for something to happen. Yeah, I absolutely get just as impatient as the next person when having to wait for a period of time for something to happen. Even a short time sometimes feels like an eternity.

Once again I find myself waiting. Perhaps I'm waiting for nothing. Or perhaps I'm waiting for what I've always wanted in my life. I can't really be sure as of yet. All I know is that once again, I find myself waiting for something in my life. It sucks to have to wait, but I believe having adequate patience is the difference between true happiness and settling due to rushing too quickly. I want to find the missing piece of myself that is floating throughout the world somewhere. I'm confident that with a little bit of effort on my part, and some patience... I will find that which I am looking for.

If you're reading this right now thinking about how much you want something to just happen already... perhaps you're in the same position. Maybe you just need to slow down a little and take the time to let things happen on their own time. There are many things that can seem right at the time when done quickly... but in the end, you realize it's all just a cover-up. Anything that is rushed too quickly will only leave you feeling like something is wrong afterwords. Perhaps you'll try to bring back that spark by having more of it, but it won't be the same. Rushing through something before you're truly ready may give you a rush that you'll forever be searching for after the fact. A feeling that will be difficult to ever get again.

The words "I Love You" for instance. The first time these words are said in a new relationship should be a special time; one which should not be rushed. Said too soon, and the words may feel awkward... or they could feel like the beginning of a roaring flame. That uneasiness when you're unsure if the time is right may translate into a rush of adrenaline as you say those amazing words. And then forever after, your memory of the experience is one of adrenaline... one that you likely cannot replicate. Thus, every time those words are used after that moment, it will feel like a band-aid that doesn't quite cover the scratch. More and more band-aids you try to put on the scratch, but no matter how hard you try, you just can't quite cover it.

And so I say to have patience. As hard as it can be, it is a must if anything is to ever last. Patience with activities, but more importantly with people. Any relationship, whether a friend, relative, or significant other... needs patience and understanding between the two. In the end, having patience will pay off. So have patience with everything you do. Patience is the key to happiness no matter the timeline.

Getting Better

I haven't felt awesome for the past couple weeks. Getting broken up with when you think everything is stable... especially over a text message you didn't know about that obviously means you must have cheated on the person you were in love with and did everything for... just because you didn't mention this text message that you didn't know about... is really difficult. I mean, I feel like shit... but at the same time I realize that if she so easily believed that I would cheat on her just because of a text message, then I guess we weren't meant for one another. The crappiest part is that I didn't even know about this text message that supposedly came from me. And it's difficult to believe that there ever was a text message because she didn't say anything about it. She just deleted it.

So here I am, two weeks later. I'm feeling better; I'm eating again. I also got some work done. I have a bit to catch up on after not really going to school for a week, but luckily it's not too much to handle I think. I have decided that I don't want to go through with attempting to learn this math 226 class though. I mean I already missed at least two weeks of it before I was officially back in the class, and then with this life-drama going on, I just don't feel like I'm in a good position to try to learn something like that after missing so much.

But the good news is that I went in today and got some work done! Finished my AutoCADD template including the block that had to be updated which included me needing to learn about something new on my own. I'm feeling pretty good; Rather tired, but pretty good. I think next I'll tackle my new logo and finish the watch that's past due. But as long as I take things one thing at a time, I think I'll be good.

I can get through this. Everything will be better in the end.

My thoughts

A lot has happened since last I made a post. Basically the whole world turned upside-down and Carley broke up with me. So here I am now with lots of time to myself to figure things out.

I've made a few Facebook posts recently about how angry or frustrated I am with the situation but that really only shows one side of my thoughts. Yeah, I'm frustrated with what happened and I wish it were easy for me to just walk away and leave everything. I wish I could just stop loving her, but after all we went through together, it's just not that easy to make my feelings go away. I still love her very much and I wish this were all a bad dream. I wish everything would go back to the way it was before.

If I were to tell the truth... I would say I would still be willing to take her back. Even though it probably sounds stupid that I would do so. I would still be willing to give her another chance on the condition that we did couples counseling together. Maybe that's dumb... Maybe I'm just a lunatic who doesn't know his way around anymore. I think what I should really do is consider honestly what I want in a relationship, and settle for nothing less. If she were willing to come back and give that a try, with counseling and everything, I would give her a chance. But at the same time, I can't wait forever for that possibility. If what I'm looking for came by... I couldn't just pass that by because of something that might be.

So I suppose at this point I will honestly say that I love her still; Even if that makes me an idiot. And I would still take her back if she came to her senses. But at some point, I'll have to move on. If she doesn't come back or waits too long, then I can't keep staying around for her. I love you still, but without you I cannot love you forever. I love you Carley Dawn Larocque.

My Awesome Girlfriend.

As you may be able to guess by the title, I have a girlfriend. We've been through a lot together in a little over a year now, and for all the things we've been through and done together, I love her so incredibly much. She tends to have troubles thinking she's beautiful enough, or smart enough, or even good enough. I can definitely say she's all of those things and more.

She is without a doubt the most beautiful girl I have ever had the luxury of seeing. She worried about being over- or under-weight, but I don't even care. as long as I have a place beside her in my life I couldn't care if she were 90 or 300 pounds (though I know she wouldn't let herself get like that).

She's certainly the smartest girl I've ever met. Her brain obviously works in a different way due to a mixture of ADHD and childhood traumas. Not to mention her mother's terrible choices while pregnant with her. But even with these hurdles, she managed to graduate high school ahead of time and then get a degree right after that way faster than most other people. Yeah, I would agree that she sometimes has troubles knowing what to do in certain situations. Sometimes she doesn't know how to handle certain situations. But that doesn't mean I don't love her. We all have problems of some kind. I haven't had the difficult childhood she had, and still, I'm not sure I would argue that I have better social or relationship skills than she has. We're all smart in our own way, and I value her brains in the creative and determined ways that she is smart.

Now, due to my past relationships, I'm a pretty picky person. If someone wasn't treating me right, or if I didn't think they were worth it, I wouldn't stay with them. So when she wonders whether or not she's good enough... She is completely absolutely without a doubt good enough. I would jump in front of a train for her. Yeah, we've had our issues, but that has only made us stronger. I know that once she gets her job(s) and we're able to move in together, everything will turn out wonderful. I know you can do whatever you put your mind to my love. And I know that everything we've been through will have been worth it in the end. You my love, are more than good enough. You're my Carley.
