My Wife Is An Absolute Trooper!

For anyone who doesn't know, my wife is the most absolute trooper ever!

You may ask... "Why is your wife so awesome? What makes her so tough and amazing?" Well first of all, she's pregnant; that's enough right there that she has to go through that process and make it out the other side! Let me tell you it was pretty bad with the first one on the way how sick my dearly beloved Carley was feeling each and every day... pretty much like morning sickness on crack! This one will be our second child together and oh my goodness, I didn't possibly think it could ever get worse!

It's a special thing when your wife isn't able to get around and do as much as she wants to... not because it's hard to move around when pregnant, but because she's just so sick that she can't get out of bed without puking almost every morning. Medications don't make the sickness go away; they only serve to make her tired and keep her locked in bed like a caged animal instead of spending good time with her family as she would prefer to do. I can't imagine what it would be like to go through that each and every day, but I would gladly share the burden with her if I could even up to the point of taking the full sickness upon myself if for nothing else than to give her a much needed break.

Now of course we can't be sure of the final result, but perhaps the reason for the increased sickness is due to this child being larger than the last? Our first daughter was quite small... I believe 4th percentile if I remember correctly? And... based on the ultrasound results from recently, this one MIGHT.... be around the 94th percentile mark. Of course there's still a few months to go before we find out the end result, so maybe that size will level out to be closer to her older sister, but I do still think that an increased size may be the cause.

So here I am trying to help out by doing dishes, laundry, transport the child to daycare, and make enough money to get by... only hoping that I'm able to do a fraction of what needs to be done to make it all the way. I can't imagine where I'd be without such a tough woman in my life right beside me each and every day.... that I wake up in bed.

Wish us luck with our upcoming second child. I've heard it gets more difficult when more come along and I haven't yet figured out whether I'm excited or scared for what's in store for us.

We Have A New Fence =21=

Finally after starting to build last weekend we now have a new fence in our backyard. If I was smart, I would have taken pictures of the completed thing... though to be fair, my phone was under 5% once we were done today so I wasn't able to see anything with which to take pictures. So on that note, I'll have to take some pictures once I get the chance and post them later for everyone to see.

There's something special about taking the time to build a new fence with your family... other than the fact that you're saving money by not paying someone else to do it for you. My mom and dad came in to Moose Jaw to help out; unfortunately dad managed to hurt himself in the process. I got a great workout from the whole thing by carrying things around the backyard and using the air nailer (which is much heavier than you'd think after holding it all day).

Thankfully our neighbor used to be in construction and he's a super helpful and awesome guy, so right from the start he wandered over and brought some tools to help take the old fence down and dig holes for new posts and help put the whole thing up. I guess he must really enjoy working outside and doing construction projects because he was eager to help us every day including just yesterday when we finished up with the gates and the final boards.

I have to say, I feel so lucky to have such an awesome family and an amazing neighbor to help us set up a new fence. The whole thing is six feet tall now so there's no hope of either of our dogs jumping out over the fence which is what started this whole thought of replacing the fence in the first place.

Finally I can let them both out to run around and burn off their energy once again without worrying about them getting out. The last thing I have to do now is clean up all the junk wood and any loose nails in the yard and then everyone will have more room and we can hang out and actually use and enjoy our yard. Now that I've spent so much time outside this year I'm really looking forward to having a nice space where we can sit around or play in (I just have to clean up some poo from the dogs and we'll be good to go).

I'll upload pictures as soon as I can so you can all see just how beautiful our new fence is. ^_^

=== Discovering A New Show ===

Recently I've discovered a new show to watch and keep up with. Star Trek: Discovery is finally out after such a long time of hearing about it and waiting for it to come to the TV screen. I love things to do with space, and so I've always been a huge fan of all the Star Trek shows. Finally having an updated show to watch with all the new content and ideas and everything going on in it is breathtakingly amazing.

There's something about space that really gets to me. I can stand outside on a clear night and look at the stars and start wondering and thinking all about how amazing it is that we're here; so small in the grand universe of things. And then when I think even more about that... how something so small as an ant exists as a living thing, and even smaller than that can be alive as well. All of these things are as small to me as I am to Earth. And yet, Earth is only an ant to the other planets, stars, and space around it.

So here I am watching a wonderful new show all about these amazing things which is first of all is a great show with awesome content in the Star Trek universe, and secondly is about one of the very things I can lose my thoughts in.

I don't watch a lot of TV shows, which is another reason why this is so great for me. It's nice to have something to sit down and watch or listen to where I don't have to be constantly at work all the time. I spend a lot of time thinking and planning and doing all sorts of things because I always want to be busy and productive. Every once in a while... it gets to be a little too much. As much as I would like to be the superman who never needs to rest, even I can get tired of working absolutely all the time. Speaking of working all the time... it's time to stop working for a bit. :)

Have a great day everybody! Don't work yourselves too hard. ^_^

My Amazing Girl

There's an amazing girl in my life that I don't talk about enough. I don't have a large group of friends to talk to all the time, so not many people ever REALLY hear about Carley and how she's doing. Currently, we're doing awesome... or so I think. Carley is pretty tired lately, but we're getting quite close to the baby being born. I don't know how she does it really, she keeps on going and cleaning and taking care of the dog and now she has a cute little fish to care for as well. Soon we'll have a baby and thank goodness we're getting help from my mom and her aunt and more people or I don't know how we would handle it.

Carley is so wonderful. She can be pretty intense sometimes, but how can I not love her? I know she'll never have a problem saying something when anything is bothering her and I certainly know she can defend herself if necessary; no matter whether that's physically or mentally. She is so strong, I can only do my best to support her as much as I can. I don't know anybody else who keeps as clean of a house as my Carley does. Seriously, I actually wouldn't be surprised if she somehow managed to keep everything clean even with the fish, the dog, and the baby in the house while I'm gone and she's on her own at home.

For those of you who would like to know something interesting about Carley, she's starting to make her own bath bombs. If you're interested in buying some, she's selling them for:

 -- $2 for a small one, or 3 for $5.

-- $3 for a big one, or 2 for $5.

If you're interested, here's a link to her facebook where you can message her for more info:

You're all wonderful as always! ^_^

I know, I know, I need to post more things.

I haven't been posting as much since I started working full-time I just haven't really had as much time to think about posting things lately. I have started listening to news talk radio again so I'm sure I'll soon have much more to talk about.

In the mean time, I've been playing a ton of Baldur's Gate recently. I'm not going to do a review on it in this post because that's not the purpose of this particular post. I'd just like to mention how much fun and awesomeness I've been having lately. Baldur's Gate is a game we had back when I was younger. I'm pretty sure we had the demo of it... and then I remember my brother got it on disk. And by disk... I mean there were six disks. This was before the expansion... which I believe brought it down to three disks instead.

I've never had the chance to get into a real group to play D&D. Also the rules these days have been updated quite a bit... so having so much experience with the 2nd edition rule-set probably doesn't help a ton. In any case, playing so much of this game and getting prepared to play the NEW expansion followed by Baldur's Gate 2 has really made me want to get into some D&D, or at least play some more boardgames with people. I've really thought about finding a group to play with. It would likely have to be online, but that wouldn't make it any less awesome. Who knows... maybe I can get Carley interested in it as well. In the mean time, once I get going again with streaming again, I'll may be streaming quite a bit of Baldur's Gate.

I think we may be caught up with bills and things in about a month. Maybe slightly longer, but I'm not sure. I'm excited to finally be back on track. The good news is that we're at the very least staying afloat, and it's only a matter of time until we have the means to pull ourselves out of the hole of money. What a silly thing... money... If we lived in a barter system, we'd be rich thanks to all the crafts Carley likes to make. And maybe my entertainment value to other people would be valuable as well. Ah well, we'll figure it out.

As always, have a great day everybody! Keep being awesome! ^_^

It's been so long!

So I haven't updated my blog in like half a month now. I got so busy planning and taking care of Carley's birthday and searching for a new job that I just haven't really been able to do much of anything like this recently. I'm so sorry to anybody who enjoys reading about my thoughts and activities. I have missed doing this as of late.

Carley's birthday was a huge success! She absolutely loved it! It makes me so happy to know that this most important birthday of hers went well. We stayed at a hotel and did all sorts of fun activities including somewhere around ten games of Laser Quest each. We're now members seeing as we find it so much fun that we would love to go quite a bit more often if possible.

Following the success of the birthday, I spent the next little while figuring out and executing on a plan we made for myself to move back in with Carley. Seeing as we've been just a little bit short on funds recently, we figured it would be a good idea to move in together again. It'll be a great way to save money and a huge load of stress off of the both of us which can only help to move our relationship in the right direction.

I've been learning a lot about Carley including how to handle her and help her when she's feeling stressed. We've also learned how to communicate much better than before. Things are looking pretty good. Obviously we're still a little bit stressed at the moment, but that should go away once the last of the moving is done. I have my little computer space all set up as evidenced by the fact that I'm sitting here using it. All we have left to do is get things into our storage space.

Go out and be awesome everybody! ^_^

I'm mostly living a comfortable life.

I have to say, I'm feeling awesome. I still need another job to make me feel more secure on the money front, but besides that, I'm doing quite well. I have a comfortable home and people who love and care about me, and I have time to do hobbies and things I want to do rather than only work at all points in time.

I'm thinking that once I get another job I might start baking in my spare time for funzies. I do like baking believe it or not. More so when it's for other people as well. Besides that, I'm hoping to be able to find more time to sing a couple songs to post on YouTube, and I'm wanting to take more time to stream because I'm really enjoying meeting new people to talk to and entertaining them.

More good days ahead! Keep being awesome everybody! ^_^

Yay Job Interview!

Just had a job interview today; I think it went quite well! It's always hard to tell whether or not an interview goes well, so here's hoping that I did well enough to land the job. It would be a lovely full-time job that would pay my rent and more, putting me in a comfortable position to actually enjoy myself for a little while without worrying all the days.

In the mean time, I'll keep applying to other opportunities just in case I didn't get the job from today, and I'll continue to focus on my ever growing Twitch stream as I have the time to do so. I've managed to get sponsorship for my stream, so I look forward to hopefully seeing an increase in viewers and I hardly even know what to say I'm SO EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!

Some days are better than others. Life will always have ups and downs, but I know that a balance will be reached in time. As with everything else, it all takes patience. Have an awesome day everybody!

I'm So Hot

Let's face it... I'm just too hot. No no no... don't let your mind go there. I'm not being full of myself in any way; I'm serious. I'm actually just to much of a warm person. I was a little worried that it would be way too loud and cause too much noise and whatnot to have this air conditioner running, but it's actually pretty awesome.

I don't know how other people can stand living in such heat all the time. Some people are perfectly alright with having heat blowing in their face, while I sit there and feel sick from feeling way too hot and uncomfortable. So I guess that's a nice thing about having my own place at the moment. I get to control the temperature however I want it to be.

I get the feeling that soon enough I just won't even notice this thing blowing at all. It'll just be regular background noise to me I bet. So thankfully I have a way to survive the extreme heat. I hope everyone else has found a way to survive.

Getting Better

I haven't felt awesome for the past couple weeks. Getting broken up with when you think everything is stable... especially over a text message you didn't know about that obviously means you must have cheated on the person you were in love with and did everything for... just because you didn't mention this text message that you didn't know about... is really difficult. I mean, I feel like shit... but at the same time I realize that if she so easily believed that I would cheat on her just because of a text message, then I guess we weren't meant for one another. The crappiest part is that I didn't even know about this text message that supposedly came from me. And it's difficult to believe that there ever was a text message because she didn't say anything about it. She just deleted it.

So here I am, two weeks later. I'm feeling better; I'm eating again. I also got some work done. I have a bit to catch up on after not really going to school for a week, but luckily it's not too much to handle I think. I have decided that I don't want to go through with attempting to learn this math 226 class though. I mean I already missed at least two weeks of it before I was officially back in the class, and then with this life-drama going on, I just don't feel like I'm in a good position to try to learn something like that after missing so much.

But the good news is that I went in today and got some work done! Finished my AutoCADD template including the block that had to be updated which included me needing to learn about something new on my own. I'm feeling pretty good; Rather tired, but pretty good. I think next I'll tackle my new logo and finish the watch that's past due. But as long as I take things one thing at a time, I think I'll be good.

I can get through this. Everything will be better in the end.
