We're Getting Close To Baby!

At this point I actually can't believe that we're finally getting so close to baby being here. Less than a week to go before we'll have two children in the house! It's been such a long process with sickness, decluttering, and other preparations being done over the past nine months. Finally we're on the home stretch, with less than a week to go before our new baby is born no matter what.

I really think we have everything set up and prepared for the arrival of our new bundle of joy. The crib is set up as well as the bassinet. We have all the bottles out and ready. Mentally I'm a little bit nervous seeing as I haven't had a newborn for quite some time now, but I'm also feeling comfortable with what's on the way because I've dealt with it before. It also helps that I'm getting in some practice for getting up early and being tired thanks to Isabelle currently waking up around 6:00 AM each day. I also have a bit of a surprise blessing in the form of not currently working. As strange as that sounds, I've been given an opportunity to spend so much more time with my daughter and I'll be able to help so much more with the newborn than I would have been able to otherwise.

I'm so excited for everything to come with our family being complete and working towards our career goals of the future. We're going to have such a wonderful time ahead of us and even though I'm sure I'm going to be absolutely exhausted in the coming months, I'm looking forward to it. I wouldn't trade my life for the world.

We're Back And In Full Swing!

Hello everybody, we're back and in full swing! The wedding went great and so did the honeymoon; I can't wait to tell you all about the adventures we went on for a week.

First thing's first, to anybody who was able to come to the wedding, thank you so much for coming and enjoying the event with us; it truly was a spectacular time. It was so nice to see all our family and friends and surprisingly everything seemed to go without any hitch other than our little Isabelle getting somewhat distracted... which was totally adorable! I just can't express enough how thankful I am that so many people were able to come and especially our wedding party for being so awesome.

Speaking of the wedding party, how amazing did Carley look in that dress? I honestly wasn't sure if Carley would really wear a dress or if it was all an elaborate scheme to hide that she was going to walk in wearing jeans or something... but she really did wear a dress and she was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Surprisingly I wasn't nervous or worried at all about the event... probably something to do with us already living together with a child for quite some time. Carley on the other hand... seemed like a nervous wreck up on the altar. TO BE FAIR, not all of it was due to nerves; she is unmedicated with ADHD after all. Though... in saying that, she was also a little bit nervous.

Now that everything is all official, I see Carley being super excited all the time to tell people her new last name. She visibly gets excited to tell people and even to spell it out; it's really cute. At this point all we have left to do is to get all her ID changed over. It really is something special that this all happened. I'm so lucky to have someone like Carley in my life. I mean, yeah, sure... we have our fights, but honestly I think we compliment each other very well. She can be a little quick to anger and sometimes has troubles focusing on things, and I'm usually very calm and able to focus on things like driving the whole trip we're on.

The last thing I would like to mention right now: now that we're back, I should be a little bit more regular in my posts and things. I now have scheduled time for work and for leisure so hopefully we can put that time to good use by getting on a regular schedule with things. Coming up in the near future should be some stories about our adventurous honeymoon filled in with some reviews on the food in Calgary as well as some locations, so if you ever plan to head out there for some time, keep an eye out for my reviews on a couple really great places to go.

That's all for now folks! Let everyone know what you think of my blog and share share share with everyone! :D

Let's Make It Official

Honestly, I find it kind of hard to believe that the day for us to make everything official and finally get married to my love is coming up so quickly.official I'm getting married to my love. I'm sure it was just yesterday that we still had a month to go before this big day. Now I find the big day is tomorrow!

Will this change anything? Of course it shows that we're committed, but I don't think it will change too much. I could be wrong, but other than a change of name and signed paperwork... I think we're pretty much already a married couple. Does that make it any easier and less nerve-wracking to go through with such a big event? Not really. This will be on display in front of our closest friends and family of our commitment to our relationship. We can't just go through with something like this then give up on it at the first sign of trouble. This is the real deal.

This is is no longer a recording with all the mistakes edited out of it. This is a livestream with all the technical difficulties you didn't expect. I have great confidence that together we won't be just another show cancelled after the first season. We will be an ongoing series right up until the end when there's nothing left for us to do... At which point they'll make spin offs of the other characters in our show going on to do their own things as they get older. Now, if all goes as planned... Or unplanned... we will have a long time with many adventures to go on about for quite some time.

Seriously though, I think we compliment each other so well it's almost scary. She's excited, I'm content. She's loud, I'm quiet (usually). She's clean, I'm dirty. She's wants things done right away no matter what, I want to take a little bit more time to think about it first. The real tough part seems to be learning to communicate together. We're absolutely getting better at it each and every day, but it's certainly an ongoing process to learn about one another and how to coexist together under the same roof while raising children.

Let me just take a moment to thank family for being so helpful and supportive even at the worst of times, and friends for giving us people to socialize with and talk to besides each other. Most of all, I should thank Carley for continuing to put up with me no matter how silly or stupid I may be on any given day. I mean heck, even though we have a child doesn't mean we have to make things work; though I am glad that thing's do in fact work between us.

Here's to a wonderful future with many years to come. I love you Carley. <3

I haven't posted for a while.

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. I've been so busy looking for work and working on something special coming up. I don't want to give away what it is, yet... I hope to have it done in the next couple days. I have to record it and edit it and whatnot... and then it'll be out there for the world to see. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about this thing I'm working on. It's definitely something I've never done before and it would putting myself out there even more than this blog is.

So here's hoping it goes well. Wish me luck and all that. I want to write more, but I'm actually so excited and nervous about this that I have no idea what else to say. Hopefully I'll get it done in the next couple days, then I'll have a post about it.

I guess I could tell everybody the good news. I got my first interview in Moose Jaw today... and managed to get a job. Yay! Oh how happy I am about that. I'll still need to get another job to actually save money, but at least I won't have to worry about paying my rent for a while now.

That's my update for today. Look forward to seeing some more blog posts and some YouTube videos posted in the near future! ^_^

A Couple Surprises Coming Up

Alright, so I've been working on something for a little while now... and hopefully they'll be done soon. I keep getting distracted by other things, so I'm unable to finish them. They'll be posted on YouTube for whomever wants to watch them to do so. It'll be nerve-wracking to let people listen to something in my own voice rather than just reading the words. But at the same time a little bit exciting. So here's hoping it goes well... as soon as I have enough time.

I'd like to tell everybody what the surprises are exactly that are coming up, but unfortunately that would ruin the surprises to whom they would be meaningful. So all you readers get to know for now, is that they'll be posted on YouTube as they are completed. And of course I'll make a post for each of them linking to the videos to make them easy to find.

In the meantime, have a great day everybody! I'm off to go curl with my family! :D

Where School Takes Me.

The realization begins. Such a short time left until the first work-term. I only hope I can get through my finals in one piece and make it into the next semester. I find myself getting nervous about what is coming up for me. I know I can make it through this. It’s both scary and exciting for me at the same time. Scary because I’ll be getting into something I’ve never done before. A real job with important responsibilities. Exciting because I’ll finally be getting out of the minimum wage job market.

I find myself having difficulties focusing on much else other than my thoughts right now. I hope this is all worth it in the end. I can’t deliver food for the rest of my life. Well… I suppose I could, but I wouldn’t want to. I mean, I actually want to be able to support a family one day. That’s just not reasonable doing the kind of work I’m currently doing. So I’ll follow my path to it’s end and see what it brings me. One day when this is all over with, I’ll look back and laugh at how silly I was for worrying about everything.
